The Talk
A personal talk about life's great turning points: the blows, the changes, the losses or ruptures we didn't ask for.

When what you thought was certain suddenly changes, how do you find your way forward?
Through his own story, Michel talks about losing his footing, the consequences it can have and about finding a new direction when the old one is no longer possible.
It is not a story about tragedy. It is a story about the human being behind the hardship, about finding perspective and about moving on.

Theme of the talk
My own story comes from a life in the Armed Forces and the time after, but the talk is about something we can all recognise.
It is about what happens when life suddenly changes — when illness, loss, divorce, work life, stress or other major changes turn upside down what you thought you stood securely on.
That is why the talk is not only for veterans. It is a personal story about losing your footing, finding yourself again and finding a way forward — something that can happen to any of us.
“An informative, vivid, honest and sensitive insight into Michel Riise's life and experiences. His sense of humour helps lift the heavy parts and makes the talk a great experience for the audience.”
